Well done to all of you who completed last week’s challenge to climb Everest. Not only did you have to work very hard to reach the steps target, but also I enjoyed the different ways you tracked and recorded your work throughout the week. We received entries into school where children had taken photos, produced written pieces of work and used their knowledge of addition and subtraction to track their progress. Well done everyone!
We have chosen three winners at random from those children that managed to make their way up Mount Everest. These children are:

Thank you to everyone who participated in last week’s challenge. You all certainly made me chuckle! I was really impressed with the different ways in which you presented your work. I received poetry, narratives, playscripts and even photos and videos to accompany your writing.
It was hard to pick some winners as everyone did a great job, however I’ve settled on a few favourites. Here are this week’s winners…
Rajarashi (3CH): Thank you for your funny story about the snowman you built. It was lovely to read about you having fun in the snow and the photo of your snowman. I know you found his nose funny but I quite liked the antlers you gave him on his head!
Perry (1RM): I laughed out loud at the limerick you sent in all about me! Who knew that there were so many words that rhymed with my name?
Gabriele (3CH): I was so pleased to hear that you also had fun in the snow last week. Whilst I was laughing at all the fun you had, I felt a bit sad that I missed out! The video you sent in of you sledging down the hill was great to see.
Rio (5TH): Thanks for your very interesting playscript about a news programme reporting on shark crashing into a house! I felt sorry for the house owners. I wonder how you would perform this as a play using your playscript? You would need to get a flying shark from somewhere!
