Week 2
Activity 1 Complete the reading comprehension. Read the text carefully then answer the questions. This Week’s comprehension is called ‘Ben the Dinosaur’
|
Activity 2 It is important to develop a love of books. This week we would like you to spend some time on Bug Club. We would like you to answer at least 5 quiz questions based on the books you have read, by clicking on the bug symbol. Don’t forget your teacher’s can see your answers so make sure you think carefully before answering each question. We cannot wait to see your answers!
|
Activity 3 You have all been practising spelling the days of the week. Complete the days of the week anagrams by putting the letters back in the correct order to make the words. You can write the word onto the sheet or on a sheet of paper. If you find this easy, you can complete the challenge and write a sentence containing each day of the week.
|
Activity 4 Complete the SpaG activity on capital letters and full stops. Capital letters are used at the beginning of a sentence, the first letter of a name and for the word ‘I’. Full stops are used at the end of a sentence. They tell us when to take a breath when reading. Rewrite the sentences onto the sheet or on a sheet of paper, adding in the missing capital letters and full stops. Remember to use your neatest handwriting. If you find this easy, you can write a sentence about each of the pictures, using full stops and capital letters accurately.

If you find this tricky then you could make a thankyou card for someone who has helped you and write a sentence in the middle saying why you are thanking them. Use this features of a letter poster to help you to know how to set out your letter.
This is a checklist for you to help you make sure your writing is the best it can be! Click this link to watch a video to support you with this learning.

Activity 5 It is important to think about our own wellbeing as well as other people in our house’s wellbeing at this difficult time. This week we would like you to think about how music can improve our wellbeing. Complete the wellbeing music sheet. Think about what your favourite song is and who the artist is for this song. Now write this at the top of the page. Next draw a picture and write a sentence saying how this song makes you feel. You can either complete this onto the sheet or on a sheet of paper. Remember to use your neatest writing. Challenge: Ask a family member what their favourite song is and how this makes them feel. Is this the same as your favourite song?
